Could You Be A Voluntary Board Member For Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership (MEAAP)?

We are currently seeking suitable individuals to join our board of directors. If you have good communication skills, enthusiasm and committed to helping older people. We are looking for individuals with a background in the private, public, voluntary or community sectors who can contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of MEAAP. Taking account of the range of skills and experience of MEAAP current Board Members, we welcome strengthening the Board’s collective portfolio of skills in the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Strategic Planning
  • Business Management
  • Social Enterprise
  • Marketing and PR
  • Human Resources
  • Community Development
  • Fundraising
  • Rights of older people

This is not an exhaustive list and if there are other skills and qualities that you feel are relevant and would bring value to the MEAAP Board, please contact info@meaap.co.uk by Friday 23rd August 2019 to submit your expression of interest.

MEAAP are committed to diversity and equality of opportunity and welcomes applications for all sections of the community. This is a non–remunerative role however out of pocket expenses (including mileage) will be paid.

Time commitment

The Board’s purpose is to oversee governance and drive the strategic direction of MEAAP. The commitment required of our Board Members over a four year term of office would involve:

  • Attendance at least 7 out of 10 Board meetings per year
  • In additional to Board meetings, members will be expected to be available for other occasional meetings e.g. Strategic Planning, Interviewing, key networking events etc.
